Elves

Elves are brutal warriors of the wild. They share a close affinity with plant life, and the ocean. They are quick tempered, and tend to be more subject the their emotions than the other primordial races. They will stop at nothing to protect nature, and are therefore most often at odds with Humans. This can be seen in the various Kanta plantations run by the Humans more than anywhere else since Elves view wetlands as both sacred and in integral part of nature, and the harvesting operations devastate the natural order in these places.

Elves are tall and lithe, the average height just above 1.8 meters. They have angular features and long, pointed ears. their teeth are serrated and jagged as they eat their food raw. They tend to be lean and muscular, and move with almost unreal grace. In natural environments they are almsot invisible, and seem unhampered by even the thickest of forest. In water they are like fish, and are capable of breathing while immersed. The favoured weapons among Elves are spears, and bows.

Their society is tribal, and patriarchal. The patriarch passes on the title to the Elf he deems most worthy and able to lead the Tribe after his death, to choosing process often taking decades. Women are the only castors among the Elves and are viewed as holy vessels of the Gods.
